Zyrtec is used to treat symptoms associated with allergic conditions, such as:
· hayfever (seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis),
· allergic skin conditions that can cause itching or rashes.

I WARNINGS
Do not take Zyrtec, if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to cetirizine, hydroxyzine, any piperazine derivatives (closely related active ingredients of other medicines), or to any other ingredients of Zyrtec.
Do not exceed a maximum dose of 20 mg per day. People with kidney problens, and pregnant or breast-feeding women should seek medical advice before taking this medicine. Although this medicine is unlikely to affect your ability to drivie or operate machinery, a few people may be impaired and care should be taken.

I DOSAGE
The usual dose of Zyrtec is one 10 mg tablet, once a day.
Some people may only require half the daily dose, i.e. 5 mg, e.g. people with kidney problems or those who may feel drowsy if they take the recommended dose of 10 mg.
Swallow the tablet whole, with a glass of water. You can divide the tablet into two equal doses.
