Beach Towels & Towel Hoodies

The towel is the piece of beach kit that lives in the car from Labour Weekend to Easter.

Moana Road's towel hoodies get a wet kid warm and changed in the carpark with no fuss, the Turkish towels dry fast and roll small enough for the beach bag, and One Hour North's beach towels are the big, bright ones you can find from the water.

Frequently Asked Questions about Beach Towels & Towel Hoodies

What is a towel hoodie?

A hooded towel you pull on over your head after a swim. It dries you, keeps the wind off and lets you change underneath it on the beach or in the carpark. Moana Road makes them in adult, kids' and baby sizes.

Why choose a Turkish towel over a normal beach towel?

Turkish towels are flat-woven cotton, so they dry faster, take up less room in the bag and shake sand off easily. A traditional terry beach towel is thicker and more absorbent for the wet-dog-on-the-beach moments.

What sizes do the towel hoodies come in?

Moana Road makes adult, kids' (roughly age 2 to 7 across two sizes) and baby towel hoodies. The size is in each product name.

How do I wash them?

Rinse sand and salt off, then machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and line dry. Turkish towels get softer with every wash.

Are these good as gifts?

A towel hoodie is one of the easiest presents for a Kiwi kid, and the Turkish towels roll up neatly for a beach-house or Christmas gift. Add a pair of jandals from the Summer Shop and it is sorted.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes. Everything here ships New Zealand wide from Matakana, and you can collect in store.
