CoQ10 is one of those supplements where the number on the front of the bottle tells you very little. It is fat-soluble and absorbs poorly on its own, so a high milligram figure on a plain powder can deliver less than a smaller dose in a better carrier.
This one is built on Ubiqsome, a phospholipid complex made by Indena in Italy. Each capsule contains 250mg of the complex, providing 50mg of Co-Enzyme Q10 as ubiquinone. The ubiquinone is held with sunflower lecithin and potato maltodextrin, so it reaches the gut already presented in a form the body can take up rather than as a dry powder it struggles with.
CoQ10 levels in the body are known to decline with age, which is why interest in it tends to start in midlife.
