An unusual trio, and the reason it works is the lavender.

Western Australian oak bark gives a dry, tannic base that most incense does not have. Hojari frankincense, the most prized of the Boswellia resins, lifts it with something luminous and faintly citrus. Between the two sits Western Australian lavender, softening the bark and rounding the resin so the whole thing settles rather than competes.

The result smells less like a temple and more like a very old room with the windows open. Herbaceous, dry, quietly bright.
