Stand the cone on an even, heat-proof, non-flammable surface or in an incense holder. Light the tip, let it burn for up to 10 seconds until you see a red ember, then blow the flame out and let the smoke do the rest. Dispose of the ash once it is cold.

Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep away from children, pets, curtains, draughts and anything flammable, and burn in a ventilated room. The holder and the surface under it get hot. Smoke can bother asthma and other breathing conditions, so ventilate well or choose a candle instead if smoke is a problem in your house.
