Agarwood is the most expensive incense material on earth, and once you have smelled it you understand why.

It forms only when an aquilaria tree is wounded and responds by flooding the injury with resin. What comes out is dark, balsamic and almost animalic, with a depth that does not resemble any other wood.

Paired here with Western Australian sandalwood, which is the sensible partner: creamy and warm, giving the agarwood something soft to sit against so its intensity reads as richness rather than weight.

This is the most complex scent in the range and the slowest to reveal itself. Smoky and woody at the base, resinous and dark through the middle. Two heartwoods, nothing else.
