DESCRIPTION
Add myrrh to sandalwood and frankincense and the whole thing darkens.
Myrrh is the bitter one, resinous and faintly medicinal, and it does something the other two cannot: it gives the blend weight at the bottom and stops the frankincense floating away. The sandalwood sits in the middle holding both together.
This trio has been burned together for millennia across more traditions than can be counted, which is less a mystical claim than a simple observation that it smells extraordinary and people noticed.
Richer and more serious than Prayer, and the one to choose for evening rather than morning. Three resins and woods, pressed by hand.
