Featon painted New Zealand's flowering plants in the 1880s, and forty of them became The Art Album of New Zealand Flora in 1889, the first full-colour art book published in this country. In 1919, widowed and short of money, she sold her life's work, 134 watercolours, to Te Papa's predecessor for £150.

Unframed, and it suits a plain frame and a wall that gets some light.
