DESCRIPTION
Patchouli has a reputation it does not deserve, mostly earned by cheap oil in the 1970s.
The actual leaf smells nothing like that. It is dark, earthy and slightly sweet, with a damp-soil quality that grounds anything you put it near. Here it is paired with Western Australian sandalwood, which softens the edges and keeps the earthiness from tipping into muskiness.
The effect is steady. Where the frankincense blends lift and open, this one settles and holds. It is the blend for a room you want to feel solid in.
