DESCRIPTION

Flat tape rather than round thread, for the gaps that are barely gaps at all.

The lower front teeth often sit so close together that even a CPS 06 interdental brush will not pass. This is what tape is for. PTFE-coated, so it slides through the contact point instead of catching, and tear resistant enough that it does not shred and leave fibres behind.

Ingredients

PTFE tape. Not a cosmetic product, so no INCI applies.

Instructions

Break off about 40cm, wind the ends around your middle fingers and guide it between the teeth with your thumbs and index fingers. Ease it past the contact point rather than snapping it down, curve it against the side of each tooth and work it up and down. Use a clean section for each gap.

Disclosure

Go carefully. Snapping floss down onto the gum causes the damage people blame floss for. If a gap is wide enough for an interdental brush, a brush cleans it better. Keep out of reach of children.
