Nothing announces winter in a New Zealand house quite like eucalyptus in a vaporiser. Sharp, cool, camphorous and completely recognisable from the first drop.
Dolphin Clinic use Eucalyptus globulus, steam distilled from the leaves in Australia, which is the species most people mean when they say eucalyptus. It is a top note, so it fills a room quickly and then settles.
Six drops in a vaporiser is the usual winter dose. It is strong on skin and needs diluting properly, and it is one to leave out during the first trimester.
Available here in three sizes because it is the oil most households run out of first. All of them are filled in New Zealand by a company that has been doing this for over thirty years.
