Geranium is the oil that sits exactly between rose and mint, green and sweet at once, and it is far more versatile than its price suggests.
Pelargonium graveolens, steam distilled from leaves and flowers in Madagascar, gives a top note with unusual staying power. It turns up in Feminine Relief, in the Geranium and Orange massage oil, and in the Luxury Baby Oil, which says something about how well it behaves in a blend.
It is not one for pregnancy, and it wants diluting for skin work.
Madagascan geranium is expensive because the yield is small. Dolphin Clinic buy it anyway, and bottle it in New Zealand.
