DESCRIPTION
Palmarosa is a grass that smells like a rose, which is as strange and useful as it sounds. Sweet, dry, faintly geranium-like, and considerably kinder to a budget than rose itself.
Cymbopogon martinii, steam distilled from the leaves in India. It is a base note, so it lasts, and it is a favourite in skincare blending for exactly that reason.
Dolphin Clinic use it in Posy of Roses, Sheer Bliss and the Skin Nourishment body oil.
Five drops per 10ml of carrier is the usual rate.
Related to lemongrass and citronella, which is not something you would guess from smelling it. Bottled in New Zealand.
