DESCRIPTION
Sage is the sterner cousin of clary sage: drier, sharper, more herbaceous, with a camphorous edge that clary sage rounds off.
Salvia officinalis, steam distilled from the leaf in China. It is a middle note and a strong one, and it works well in a room spray or a vaporiser when you want something bracing rather than comforting.
The cautions are real and Dolphin Clinic list them clearly: not for young children, not during pregnancy, and not for anyone with epilepsy or high blood pressure.
Four drops in a diffuser. Dilute well for anything on skin.
