DESCRIPTION
Lemongrass is louder than lemon and greener than citronella, a grassy, sharp, faintly sweet smell that cuts straight through a stale room. Fifty millilitres is the size for people who have worked out that it is the most useful deodorising oil in the range.
Cymbopogon flexuosus, steam distilled from the grass in India. It is a top note with real reach, and Dolphin Clinic specifically suggest it for a car diffuser if you travel with a dog.
Six drops in a vaporiser, or five per 10ml of carrier oil for massage.
It can irritate broken or sensitive skin, so dilute it properly, and avoid it during the first trimester.
Bottled in New Zealand at a price a small local company can manage.
