Most Gaia Herbs capsules are Liquid Phyto-Caps. The herbs are extracted into a liquid first, then sealed inside a vegan capsule, rather than filled as dry powder.

The capsule dissolves quickly, and because the extract is liquid, less of the herb is needed to deliver the same strength.

Much of the range is certified organic, and the label states it ingredient by ingredient. Gaia grows a large part of what it uses on its own certified organic farm in North Carolina.

Where an ingredient is not organic, it is not labelled as such, so the panel on each product page is the place to check.

Nearly all of them. The capsules are vegan, made from hypromellose or organic pullulan, and the gummies are set with fruit pectin rather than gelatin.

The two exceptions to look out for are the kids' elderberry syrup, which contains organic honey, and any product where the panel says otherwise.

Every batch is tested for identity, for heavy metals, and for microbes and pesticide residue before it is released.

Gaia also runs an ingredient traceability programme, so a batch can be traced back to where the herb was grown.

Gaia Herbs is the retail range you can buy directly. Gaia Herbs Pro is the practitioner line, with different formulas and higher strengths, available following a consultation with our practitioner team.

Some formulas appear in both, such as Stress Response, which is the retail version of the Pro Daytime HPA formula.

For everyday stress, Ashwagandha Root or Stress Response. For sleep, SleepThru or Sound Sleep, both melatonin free. For the seasons, Black Elderberry or Echinacea Supreme.
