Spread it, spoon it, or stir it into tea or warm milk once the cup has cooled a little, since boiling water is hard on raw honey. Use a clean dry spoon each time so the jar keeps well.

Do not give honey to infants under 12 months of age, cooked or raw, because of the risk of infant botulism. Honey is a sugar, so count it the way you would count any other, and take care if you have diabetes or have been advised to limit sugar. Not suitable for anyone with a known allergy to honey, pollen or bee products. Store below 25 degrees C, out of direct sunlight, and put the lid back on firmly. Honey naturally crystallises over time, which is a sign it has not been over-processed, and a jar stood in warm water will loosen again.
