Adults and children 12 years and over: take 1 tablet daily on an empty stomach, swallowed whole with water. An empty stomach means taking Labixten one hour before, or two hours after, food or fruit juice.

Pregnancy: there is no or limited data on the use of bilastine in pregnant women. As a precautionary measure it is preferable to avoid Labixten during pregnancy.

Breastfeeding: it is unknown whether bilastine passes into human breast milk. Discuss with your healthcare professional.

Children: efficacy and safety in children under 12 years have not been established for the 20mg tablet. Labixten Melts for Kids covers ages 6 to 11.

Driving: some people experience drowsiness, which may affect the ability to drive or use machines.

Mild side effects can include headache, drowsiness, dizziness, stomach upset, indigestion, tiredness, dry mouth and itching. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you do not feel well while taking Labixten. See the Consumer Leaflet for rare and more serious side effects.
