DESCRIPTION

Prepare the application site (the back of your upper arm)
- Wash the area using a non-moisturising, fragrance-free soap
- Use an alcohol wipe to disinfect the application site
- Allow your skin to fully dry prior to applying your sensor (do not blow on it!)

Prepare the sensor applicator
- Remove the applicator from the box
- Unscrew the cap (don't put the cap back on, as it may damage the sensor)

Apply and secure your sensor
- Place the applicator over the prepared site
- Push firmly until you hear a click
- Gently pull the applicator away from your arm
- Gently press around your sensor's edges to secure it
- You can cup the sensor for 10 seconds to improve adhesion
In New Zealand, the FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor is authorised to work with select insulin pump/AID systems which include the mylife YpsoPump from 1st October 2024 and the Tandem t:slim X2 insulin pump by July 2025.
