Krill oil rather than fish oil, and the difference is structural. In krill the omega-3s are bound to phospholipids instead of triglycerides, which is the same carrier the body uses in its own cell membranes.
Each softgel provides 590mg of Superba Boost krill oil, delivering 159mg of omega-3 fatty acids, of which 89mg is EPA and 41mg is DHA. Alongside those sit 330mg of phospholipids and 41.3mg of choline, both native to the krill oil rather than added.
It also carries 50 micrograms of astaxanthin, the carotenoid that gives krill its red colour and acts as the oil's own antioxidant.
Adults and children over 12: two capsules per day, with or without food. Sixty softgels, so a month at the full dose.
