Rosehip seed oil is the one facial oil that people who do not otherwise use oils end up buying. It is dry rather than greasy, absorbs quickly, and it is high in gamma linolenic acid.
Cold pressed and seed extracted from Rosa rubiginosa, the wild rose. The colour is a deep amber and the smell is faintly earthy and unmistakable.
A few drops pressed into damp skin at night is the standard use. It can also go into a facial blend at ten to twenty percent in apricot or jojoba.
Rosehip oxidises faster than most carriers, so keep it capped, cool and out of the light.
