Yes. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist first if you take a nitrate-based medicine, a medicine for high blood pressure, or a PDE5 inhibitor such as sildenafil or tadalafil. It is also not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Each strip carries two reagent pads. One reads prebiotic dietary nitrate, which reflects what is coming in from food. The other reads salivary nitrite, a biomarker for nitric oxide itself.
