Fazeek

Fazeek is an Australian design studio. The Wave candles are hand-poured in Melbourne, and the glassware is hand-blown from borosilicate glass, which is why each piece varies slightly in shape, colour and finish.

Yes. They need to sit on something even, heat-proof and non-flammable while they burn. The Fazeek Wave Incense Holder is made for them and comes with black sand, so the cone sits on the sand and the ash lifts out afterwards with a teaspoon. Any heat-proof dish will also do.

More than 70 hours in total. Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn, never burn it for more than three hours at a time, and stop once about 1.5cm of wax is left, since burning it dry can crack the glass. Then wash the vessel out and keep it.

It is, though hand washing keeps it looking better for longer. Two rules matter more than the dishwasher: pour the drink in before the ice rather than after, and avoid sudden temperature changes, such as hot liquid into a cold glass.

Teak and neroli is the brand signature, green and citrus over a woody, faintly leathery base. Cedarwood and saffron is the warmest and the most unisex, spiced rather than sweet. Vetiver and pink pepper is the brightest, earthy with a peppery lift, and the best of the three for a kitchen or bathroom.

It is most of what the range is for. The cones and the incense holder sit at the small-gift end, the candle in the middle, and the Jewel Coupes are the ones people keep on a shelf. Everything arrives in the brand's own printed boxes.
