PRODUCT INFORMATION

Plasters on knuckles, fingers and joints tend to lift and peel the moment you start moving. Elastoplast Flexible Fabric Strips are made from a woven fabric that stretches in every direction, so the plaster flexes with the skin and stays securely in place. The breathable backing and non-stick absorbent pad protect the wound from dirt and bacteria while it heals.

Ingredients
  • This is a medical device, not a product with an ingredient panel. Construction as published by Elastoplast: backing of viscose and polyamide fabric that stretches with the skin, synthetic rubber adhesive, polypropylene non-stick wound pad, and a silicone-coated paper release liner. The fabric is breathable and water-repellent. Free-from claim made by the manufacturer: "0% Latex - Not made with natural rubber." Source: elastoplast.com.au product page for Flexible Fabric Strips (materials and latex statement), cross-checked against Chemist Warehouse NZ and NetPharmacy NZ. Please check the manufacturer's label before use, as ingredient lists and formulations can be changed by the manufacturer at any time.
Instructions
Clean the wound and gently dry the surrounding skin before applying. Peel back the protective liner without touching the wound pad, place the pad centrally over the wound and smooth the adhesive down onto dry skin. Apply without stretching the plaster. Use each strip once only. Change the plaster daily, or sooner if it becomes wet, loose or soiled, and remove it gently in the direction of hair growth.
Warnings: For external use only. Do not use on deep, heavily bleeding, infected or puncture wounds, or on burns - seek medical advice for these. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin around the wound, and stop use if redness, swelling, increasing pain or skin irritation develops. Not for use on people with a known sensitivity to any of the plaster materials. Keep out of reach of young children, as small strips are a choking hazard. If the wound does not begin to heal, or symptoms persist, see your doctor or pharmacist.
