PRODUCT INFORMATION

A well-stocked first aid kit means never hunting for a plaster when someone comes in with a cut. This 40 strip value pack of Elastoplast Flexible Fabric Strips uses a woven fabric that stretches in every direction, so each plaster flexes with the skin and holds firm on awkward spots such as fingers and knuckles. The breathable backing and non-stick pad keep dirt and bacteria out while the wound heals.

Supplement Details
- Pack size: 40 fabric strips (double the 20 pack)
- Fabric backing: viscose and polyamide
- Synthetic rubber adhesive, polypropylene non-stick wound pad
- Bacteria Shield: blocks 99% of dirt and bacteria (manufacturer claim)

- Keep the box closed and stored somewhere cool and dry
Key Benefits
- Larger 40 strip box for households that go through plasters - families, sports bags and workplace first aid kits
- Flexible fabric moves with the skin, so strips hold on fingers, elbows and knees rather than peeling off
- Water-repellent and breathable, with Elastoplast Bacteria Shield - the plaster blocks 99% of dirt and bacteria
- Non-stick wound pad cushions the graze and comes away without pulling
- Made without natural rubber latex
Ingredients
  • A medical device rather than a formulated product, so there is no ingredient list. Elastoplast publishes the following materials for the Flexible Fabric range: fabric backing of viscose and polyamide, synthetic rubber adhesive, polypropylene wound pad that does not stick to the wound, and a paper release liner with a silicone coating. The fabric is described as breathable and water-repellent. Manufacturer free-from statement: "0% Latex - Not made with natural rubber." Source: elastoplast.com.au Flexible Fabric Strips product page and the Chemist Warehouse NZ 40 pack listing, which sets out backing, adhesive, wound pad and liner materials. Please check the manufacturer's label before use, as ingredient lists and formulations can be changed by the manufacturer at any time.
Instructions
Wash the wound, gently pat the surrounding skin dry, then open a strip and remove the backing paper without touching the pad. Lay the pad over the wound and press the adhesive edges onto dry skin - do not stretch the plaster as you apply it. Each strip is single use. Replace it every day, and straight away if it lifts at the edges, gets wet or looks dirty. Peel it off slowly in the direction the hair grows.
Warnings: External use only. Not suitable for deep cuts, puncture wounds, burns, heavily bleeding wounds or wounds that look infected - these need medical attention. Stop using and seek advice if the skin around the plaster becomes red, itchy, swollen or more painful. Do not use if you are sensitive to any of the plaster materials. Small strips are a choking risk, so keep the pack out of reach of young children. See your doctor or pharmacist if the wound is not healing or symptoms persist.
