Squeeze the measured amount onto a spoon and swallow it directly, or stir it into room-temperature water and drink. Take between meals — at least 1–2 hours before or after food, and at least 2 hours before or after any oral medicine.
- Adults and children 15 years and over: approx. 1 tablespoon (15–22.5 g) in 200 ml water, three times a day.
- Children 7–14 years: approx. 2 teaspoons (10 g) in 50–100 ml water, three times a day.
- Children 1–6 years: approx. 1 teaspoon (5 g) in 50–100 ml water, three times a day.
- Infants under 1 year: 2.5 g (half a teaspoon) in 7.5–15 ml water, three times a day.
- Children under 3 years: speak to a doctor before use.
Use for 3–5 days for a short course, or up to 21 days for an extended course. Use the tube within 30 days of opening.
Warnings: Not suitable if you are taking modified-release oral medicines, or if you have intestinal atony or a bowel obstruction. Do not use if you have previously reacted to the product. Stop use and seek advice if you have no bowel movement for 1–2 days. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist beyond two days, or if there is fever, blood in the stool, signs of dehydration or severe abdominal discomfort. Can be used during pregnancy and while breastfeeding — check with your healthcare professional first, particularly in the first trimester. Keep out of reach of children.
