Promotes healthy intestinal integrity in the GI tract
• Promotes healthy mucous membranes of the mouth and gastrointestinal tract
• Supports gastrointestinal and immune health
• Available in powder or capsules
• L-glutamine is the most prevalent amino
acid in the bloodstream. Skeletal muscle
contains the greatest intracellular
concentration of L-glutamine, comprising
up to 60 percent of the body’s total stores
and is the primary storage depot and
exporter of L-glutamine to other tissues.
• The GI tract is the greatest user of
L-glutamine because it provides the
primary fuel for the nutrient absorbing
cells that line the walls of the small
intestine.
• Various stress factors – such as trauma,
infection, malnutrition, chemotherapy,
injury and high level training – can impact
the normal function of the enterocytes of
the small intestine by adversely affecting
their absorption mechanism, for example
gut permeability and food allergies.
• The addition of L-glutamine may improve
permeability function as well as the gut’s
immune function.
• Available in capsules or powder. The
powder form facilitates taking L-glutamine
in higher amounts.
Suggested use:
Capsules: 1 capsule 3 times daily.
Powder: Mix 1 scoop with at least 236ml of
water, juice or preferred beverage daily.
