Lemon oil smells like the rind, not the juice: bright, zesty, a little bitter, with none of the sourness you might expect.
Cold pressed from the skin of Citrus limon grown in Italy, it is a top note and one of the fastest to fill a room. It is in Mental Clarity, Traditional Thieves, Allergen Aid and Breath of Fresh Air, which is a fair indication of how hard it works.
Six drops in a kitchen diffuser is the most obvious use. Note that lemon is phototoxic: keep it off skin heading into sunlight, and Dolphin Clinic advise against direct skin application altogether.
Cold pressed rather than distilled, because heat flattens citrus. Bottled in New Zealand.
