Lime is the sharpest of the citrus oils and the most immediately recognisable. Green, cutting, slightly floral underneath, and about as awake as a smell can be.
Cold pressed from the rind of Citrus aurantifolia grown in Australia. It is a top note that arrives instantly and does not hang about, which makes it good for a quick lift and less good on its own for an evening.
It appears in Exotic and Springs Awakening, where the heavier oils give it something to hold onto.
Lime is phototoxic. Do not use it on skin that is about to see sun. Everything else about it is straightforward, and it is bottled in New Zealand.
