Mandarin is the gentlest citrus in the range and the one Dolphin Clinic list as suitable for babies over two months, which tells you most of what you need to know about it.
Cold pressed from the rind of Citrus reticulata grown in Australia, it is sweeter and softer than orange, with none of lemon's edge. A top note, but a rounded one.
It is in Stress Less, Nicely Spicy, Wellbeing and Oranges and Lemons, usually doing the job of making a sharp blend friendlier.
Like all cold pressed citrus it is phototoxic, so keep it off skin heading into sun.
