It takes something like five tonnes of rose petals to produce a litre of rose oil. That arithmetic is why nobody sells it neat at a sensible price, and why this bottle is three percent rose in jojoba.
The rose is Rosa damascena from France, extracted using a food grade solvent from the petals. Jojoba is the carrier because it is stable, non-greasy and does not fight the scent.
It is a middle note, and it is the real thing: deep, sweet, green and slightly spicy, nothing like rose fragrance oil.
Ready to use straight on skin. Avoid during the first trimester.
