Warm, creamy, soft and long-lasting, this is the sandalwood note used across the Dolphin Clinic range, distilled from Amyris balsamifera in the West Indies rather than from Indian santalum.
Amyris is often called West Indian sandalwood and it is what most affordable sandalwood in aromatherapy actually is. The botanical name is on the label, which is the honest way to sell it.
It is a base note and a genuinely persistent one, and it is what gives Lovers, Romance Ready, Stress Less and Sorrow Soothe their depth.
