Solar Defence Fluid 50 is a cream-gel rather than a lotion, so it dries down invisible and touch-dry instead of leaving the face shiny. Its filter set is a modern one, with ethylhexyl triazone, bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine and diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate alongside homosalate and ethylhexyl salicylate.
Around the filters sit ubiquinone (coenzyme Q10), sodium ascorbyl phosphate, vitamin E, squalane, sunflower sprout extract and tara pod extract. The brand states it is water resistant for up to three hours.
Use it as the last step of a morning routine on days outdoors, and reapply at least every two hours, more often after swimming or towelling.
