BioBalance Vitamin D3 & K2 Chews are a high dose, lightly mango flavoured way to get your daily intake of two essential vitamins needed to support a healthy immune system, calcium metabolism, happy mood, and other important functions in the body.
Vitamin D3 and K2 are fat soluble nutrients that work synergistically to support healthy calcium metabolism and absorption, supporting many functions in the body. Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) and Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone) are the most bioavailable forms of these nutrients available.
The optimal way for our body to produce vitamin D is from sun exposure – the UV light creates a catalyst for the conversion of vitamin D within our skin. However, due to more extreme temperatures, there is a tendency to avoid the sun. In this part of the world, with less ozone layer, the fierceness of the sun makes us cover up or avoid it, reducing our exposure to the sunshine vitamin D. In fact, the NZ Ministry of Health reports that about a third of kiwis have less than optimal amounts of vitamin D stored.
Vitamin D plays a key role in bone health, immune support, hormonal function, mood, and so much more. Nearly every tissue in the body has receptors for the active form of vitamin D. After menopause, our need for improved calcium absorption increases, which vitamins D & K support. These nutrients have also been shown to support physical stability and balance in later years.
The Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) for vitamin D in NZ is about 600IU and the RDI for vitamin K in NZ is about 70 mcg so this chewable tablet ensures you are covering the minimum requirement for these nutrients.

Directions
Adults: Chew one tablet per day.
Children: Over 3 years chew ½ tablet daily.
