A vitamin E that skips the tocopherols entirely and gives you 150mg of annatto tocotrienols instead.
The Capital E is the vitamin E in the Designs for Beauty range. One softgel carries 150mg of DeltaGold vitamin E isomers, made up of roughly 90 percent delta and 10 percent gamma tocotrienols, extracted from the seed of the annatto tree.
That matters because most vitamin E supplements on the shelf are tocopherol based, usually alpha-tocopherol. Tocotrienols are the other half of the vitamin E family, and annatto is the only commercial source that is essentially tocopherol free.
The formula is deliberately short. One softgel holds the tocotrienols in bovine gelatin, water and glycerine, with nothing else added.
Tocotrienols have a shorter tail on the molecule than tocopherols, which is the structural difference the research interest rests on. Annatto also keeps this free of the soy and palm sources used elsewhere.
