DESCRIPTION

Specialty plunger coffee with a gram of New Zealand Lion's Mane built into every cup.

The coffee is the part most mushroom blends get wrong. Mynd roasts with Coaster Coffee in Raglan, using a 50/50 Colombian and Ethiopian Arabica blend at a medium roast, which gives it chocolate and cherry notes rather than the flat, ashy taste mushroom coffees are known for.

Each 15g serve is 14g of coffee and 1g of Pekepeke-Kiore extract, the native New Zealand Lion's Mane grown at Mynd's own farm. Plunger grind. The 250g bag makes 16 cups.

Instructions

Use 15g (2 tablespoons) per serve. Brew it like your usual plunger coffee.

About Mynd

Mynd grows and extracts its own Lion's Mane at a farm in Raglan, on New Zealand's west coast. The species is Hericium novae-zealandiae, known by its Maori name Pekepeke-Kiore, a native relative of the Asian Lion's Mane that almost every other supplement on the shelf is made from.

The extract is full spectrum and heat extracted from 85% fruiting bodies and 15% mycelia, so it carries the erinacines and hericenones the mushroom is known for rather than being mostly grain and starch. Callaghan Innovation and Hill Laboratories test it independently for bioactives and purity.

Every format carries the same 1g serve, whether that is two capsules, a quarter teaspoon of powder, a cup of plunger coffee, two squares of dark chocolate or a can of iced latte.
