DESCRIPTION

The difference is in what gets pressed. Green Trading cold press this oil from fresh coconut meat rather than dried copra, which is what keeps the sweet aroma and delicate flavour.

Raw, unrefined, non-hydrogenated and non-deodorised. A natural source of lauric acid and medium chain fatty acids.

It is stable at high heat, so it holds up to frying, roasting and baking, and it goes into smoothies and coffee just as easily. Plenty of people use it on skin and hair as well.

Solid below about 24 degrees and liquid above, which is normal and not a fault.

Ingredients

100% certified organic extra virgin coconut oil, cold-pressed from fresh coconut meat. Raw, unrefined, non-hydrogenated and non-deodorised. Naturally contains medium-chain fatty acids including lauric acid. No additives or chemicals.

Instructions

Use as a cooking oil for frying, baking and roasting - it is stable at high heat - or add to smoothies and coffee. For beauty use, massage into skin or hair as a natural moisturiser and conditioner. Coconut oil is solid below about 24°C and melts readily; this is natural. Store in a cool, dark place.

About Green Trading

Green Trading began on a market stall in Titirangi Village, run by a family who wanted the Ayurvedic staples they grew up with in India to be available here, made properly and certified.

The range is deliberately plain. Ashwagandha, amla, brahmi, shatavari, triphala and moringa come as either 500mg capsules or a 250g bag of powder, and the powders are exactly that: milled herb, no fillers, binders, colours or preservatives.
